(NEW!!!) If you think of Manly only as a beach, come along and change your mind. This walk climbs the hills around Manly. Starting at Manly Wharf, it heads up and over to Little Manly Beach, then crosses the ridge to Fairy Bower Beach via St Patricks College. After a long flat stretch along the promenade from Steyne to Queenscliff beaches, it climbs towards Freshwater. From the top, the walk descends to Manly Creek. It finishes with a climb to the Kangaroo statue, returning via Ivanhoe Park and Tower Hill Park to Manly Cove. Steps. Map: manly Limit: 14. View |

Starting at the end of White Cross Road, walk along Shaws Ridge Trail, Blue Gum Swamp Track, Bees Nest Hill and Springwood Ridge Trail to Grose Head South Lookout, and then along a steep eroded track to Grose Head South and back. Could visit the Grotto on the way to or back. We will walk through the beautiful Blue Gum Forest and enjoy the great views over the Grose Valley from the lookout. The track is fine up to the lookout, but beyond that, it is eroded and involves a bit of scrambling. Cars required for the car shuttle from Springwood Station to the start of the walk. Walk from Cheltenham Railway Station to Epping Railway Station via the Lane Cove National Park. We will follow the fire trail along Devlins Creek to the junction with the Great North Walk (GNW). Follow the GNW until the Terrys Creek Track turnoff. Follow this track through various parks until we come to Terrys Creek Falls. We will then back track and walk to the Epping Railway Station. Possible sightings of flannel flowers and other flowers in bloom along this walk. The track could be rough and slippery in parts. Creek crossings. Limit: 15. View |

After lunch there is the hill up to the cliffs overlooking Fitzgeralds Creek. Walk up to bus stop near Summit St. Some off-track. The main creek crossings have concrete causeways. Located in Caringbah and overlooking beautiful Yowie Bay, the Gardens were recognised by the International Camellia Society as a Camellia Gardens of Excellence in 2014. There are sixty Camellia Gardens of Excellence in the world, with the Camellia Gardens and Lisgar Gardens in Hornsby being the only two in NSW. The Gardens have over 400 cultivars and species donated and acquired since its first plantings began in 1969, in addition to many other rare ornamental and native plants. The collection is of unique value to Australian horticulture. The Gardens have something for all seasons. The camellias are in season during autumn and winter.
